What’s the best way to communicate with teens? In their own language, of course! And that means visual language as well. We worked with the team at Salt Lake County Library Services to design a look-and-feel that would appeal to their audience and provide a long-term, extendable style.

Sketchy fonts, doodle-inspired illustrations, and a bright color palette all work together to provide a sense of youthful energy and exploration. Put that on top of content specifically chosen for teens, and you just might hear a kid say how cool it is to visit the library these days.

The folks at Salt Lake County Library Services have your child’s best interest at heart. They’ve worked hard to create a special version of the website just for kids, and asked Rolling Orange to help style the site to appeal to youngsters weaned on high-quality media.

Using a cast of cartoon characters, energetic typography, and some simple animation, we’ve created a bright, fun destination that’ll keep the kids coming back for more and serve the library for years to come.

A library for the 21st century.
The folks in Salt Lake County want you to know there’s a lot more than books available at your local library. Working with their internal team’s information architecture, we helped develop a clean, friendly look-and-feel that showcases everything the library has to offer. Focusing on a clear hierarchy and flexible system, we developed a home page, second-tier landing pages, third-tier directory pages, and a diverse group of content elements that can be carried through the whole site.

An XML-driven Flash banner on the home page adds some movement and polish to the site without getting in the way. We delivered HTML templates and their internal team built the site on their CMS.
